Privacy Policy
Effective October 17, 2026
This policy explains how the Poople daily word game and its Discord Activity (the “Service”) handle information. The app developer operates the Service.
Game data
Your guesses, completion state, and puzzle progress are saved in local browser or Discord-client storage on the device you use. The Service does not send this gameplay progress to its server, link it to your Discord account, or use it for analytics, advertising, profiling, or a leaderboard. Local progress may be removed by clearing browser or app storage.
Discord
The Activity does not request access to your Discord username, avatar, or account and does not use Discord OAuth sign-in. If you choose the /poople slash command, Discord sends the command interaction to the app endpoint so it can return the daily puzzle card. Discord may include your user ID and channel context in that request; the endpoint uses the command to answer and does not save the interaction. Discord operates the platform and may process information under its own privacy policy.
Hosting and technical requests
The Service is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. When your browser loads the game or its static files, Cloudflare necessarily receives network requests and may process technical information such as IP address, request time, and security or diagnostic data to deliver and protect the site. We do not use this information to identify players or build profiles. Cloudflare handles that infrastructure processing under its own policies and retention practices.
Cookies and tracking
The Service does not set advertising or analytics cookies and does not include third-party analytics or ad trackers. Browser local storage is used only to remember your current puzzle progress on that device.
Children
The Service is a casual word game and is not designed to collect personal information from children. Please contact the developer if you believe information has been provided to the Service directly.
Your choices and contact
You can erase locally saved game progress by clearing this site’s browser storage. Since this version does not send game progress or account details to the app developer, we generally do not have player profiles or game records to retrieve or delete. For privacy questions, contact the developer through the Poople app’s Discord listing or the Discord account that publishes it.
Earlier test versions
An earlier test version included account-linked progress sync. If you used that version, it may have sent your Discord user ID and puzzle guesses to the app’s Cloudflare database. The current version no longer reads or writes that progress database. If you used account sync and want any older test record removed, contact the developer through the channels above.
Updates
We may update this policy when the Service changes. The current version and effective date will be posted here. If a future feature changes what information the Service collects, this policy will be updated before that feature is introduced.
